The Victoria Shoebox Project

Thank You for your support!

Thank you to everyone who supported our Virtual Shoebox Drive in 2020! We are so grateful that we were able to provide gifts to local women impacted by homelessness during this particularly difficult time.

The drive is now over until next holiday season, but you can support our efforts all year long!

Here's how you can help in the off-season:
  • Create a Virtual Shoebox
  • Make a Donation to our Local Chapter
  • Get your Company Involved
  • Fundraise for our Local Chapter

100% of your donation will go toward purchasing gift cards and essentials for local women impacted by homelessness.

We would like to thank all of our amazing volunteers (from gift buyers to wrappers to collection stores and advertisers/printers) who helped make the 2019  Shoebox Project Victoria a resounding success! Together, we created 1055 gorgeous shoeboxes and helped raise the Christmas spirit of hundreds of women in transition homes and shelters around Southern Vancouver Island!

Deb is a true blue Vancouver Island Girl, growing up in Port Alberni and moving to Victoria shortly after high school finished. The work force brought her into many fields including a long history in the hospitality field before moving into her love of animals where she continues to work at a vet clinic for the last 20 years. Outside of her work, she is an active volunteer member in the community being part of the Lions organization for the last 8 years. Some important projects included Shoreline Cleanup, Dogguide Walk, Toys 4 Kids and joining The Food Bank during Christmas time. She is also an active member of another organization empowering children through the fine arts.  Her passion for volunteering runs deep, wanting to make a difference to her community and those in need. She is excited to be part of the Shoebox Project helping women bond together to know that others truly do care. When not at work or volunteering,  she enjoys time with her husband, daughter and 2 dogs hiking, fishing and gardening.
