City of Kawartha Lakes
Shoebox Project

2020 Holiday Drive for
City of Kawartha Lakes:

Thank you to everyone who supported our Virtual Shoebox Drive in 2020! We are so grateful that we were able to provide gifts to local women impacted by homelessness during this particularly difficult time.

The drive is now over until next holiday season, but you can support our efforts all year long!

Here's how you can help in the off-season:
  • Create a Virtual Shoebox
  • Make a Donation to our Local Chapter
  • Get your Company Involved
  • Fundraise for our Local Chapter

100% of your donation will go toward purchasing gift cards and essentials for local women impacted by homelessness.

I feel privileged to have lived, worked, and played in the beautiful City of Kawartha Lakes for most of my life. Now Retired from a fulfilling career as an occupational therapist at a local children’s centre, I now enjoy part-time work as a floral designer . For fun I enjoy yoga, cycling, hiking, photography, flowers, gardening and travel.
My volunteer commitment to the Shoebox Project City of Kawartha Lakes dates back to 2017. The undeniable impact of a lovely shoebox gift to a woman experiencing or at risk of homelessness is humbling and heart-warming, especially during the holiday season . I look forward, alongside my caring community, to continue to support local women in need through this wonderful project for years to come.

Our Shoeboxes go to Women Accessing the Following Agencies:

Amy's Next Step Housing - Fenelon Falls
A Place Called Home - Lindsay
Victoria's Womens Shelter - Lindsay
